I think the people in the video game world have a great eye for design. They need it for the games they design. This shows in their magazine layout.

It is a modern design style that works really well. The type choices and illustration styles work really well together. Some of the work has more of a grunge flavour, but that is often what video gamers like. There is also some really neat-looking japanese woodblock style illustration, which is definitely not the norm.
