Anyone who knows me, even just a little bit, probably knows that I am a car nut. I draw cars, I look at cars, I watch every car movie I can, car shows are amazing, the movie Cars was amazing.
When it comes to actual car design I find that a lot of gearheads can get really excited about a concept car that is supposed to get to the productions stage, but are really disappointed when it actually gets produced because it looks nothing like the concept art.
Keeping car enthusiasts happy as a designer would be very difficult. Not adding a lot of things to the concept art, even something as simple as white interior is rarely possible in actual production because of cleanliness. Thousands of LED bulbs built into the body of the car would be awesome, but in reality would be awesome, however the costs to produce something like that just wouldn't be realistic in the eyes of the consumer.
I am basically saying that I find it really frustrating, but I understand why it is the way it is.
